Red London are a leading edge of the UK fashion footwear industry and are widely recognised as one of the most innovative independent footwear retailers on the high street. With over 100 leading brands, Red London has expanded nationwide very quickly over the last decade.
Challenge
The recent economic recession and cutback on staff vacancies, has meant that Red London had to make a quick decision to expand online as an ecommerce business. Red London initially came forward to Kalexiko with their specification for a user friendly website, where customers can view high resolution product images in Ajax style and feel safe to use the online payment system. They also required a content management system to manage their online stock. The client also required their website to be search engine optimised in order to receive high page rankings on Google.
Solution
Although the Red London website has only recently gone online, they have reported a significant increase in shift of pre-Christmas stock which has contributed to successful sales. Their online growth in such a short amount of time, combined with Search Engine Optimisation, has given Red London the confidence to be a market leader amongst other shoe brand retailers.

Our Wall is an interactive media project that has given young people across Wolverhampton the chance to have their say on their city. Since Oct 2008 local schools and youth groups have been working hard to create video, photography and audio projects based on the theme 'breaking down barriers'.
Challenge
Our wall required an extremely user friendly media website for young students to upload and share films, audio and photography to showcase their work online. Students needed to register and create an avatar before being able to comment on videos and post articles on forums. A blog feature also needed to be created so that students could keep up to date on the latest developments. Our Wall required a robust CMS system so that each upload to the site and each article could be authorised by the administrator before it is published.
Solution
www.ourwall.co.uk is a completed project that allows young students in schools, colleges, social clubs and sports centres around the Black Country to contribute their multimedia and share it with other like-minded individuals. The website has created phenomenal awareness that MPs have shown deep interest, ensuring that the project is further funded by Mediabox.
